Poliana Vieira is a  singer/songwriter in worldmusic, with influences of souljazz, pop and r&b. She's also a vocal coach and before she decided to choose the path of music, she finished her degree in Audivisual Arts, as a video director and editor at the Willem De Kooning.

Born in Portugal and with Cape Verdean roots, she moved to The Netherlands with her mother at the age of 13.


Besides performing with her own music, she also worked on several projects from bands such as Rotterdam Philharmonic Banda, The Re:Freshed Orchestra, Wojtek Justyna TreeOh!, Ron Le Bass. Vieira worked with artists such as Sabrina Starke, Pete Philly, Shirma Rouse, Boris, Xantoné Blacq (Amy Winehouse), as one of the vocalists of Re:Freshed Orchestra, with who she toured all over the country and did several performances in de media, such as De Wereld Draait Door and with whom she got an nr 1 album on the hitcharts of iTunes.

In 2012 Poliana won the Music Matters Award and was the Music Ambassador of Rotterdam in 2013. She became Radio 6 Soul & Jazz Talent with her first single “His love is worth” from  her Debut Album MOODS, got several recognitions for the album and performed nationally and internationally with it. She also played as  support act for Lilian Vieira (Zuco 103) and Bernard Fowler (Rolling Stones).
